The Inter Tribal Council of Arizona, Inc., in collaboration with the Climate Assessment for the Southwest, is pleased to announce the Community Small Grants Program and invites eligible Tribal communities to apply for funding to support integrated pest management projects that advance climate-adaptive practices.

This funding opportunity provides direct support to Tribal communities in Arizona and New Mexico to address pesticide management, an emerging and under-resourced climate and health challenge. Through this opportunity, communities can strengthen their capacity to make informed, climate-responsive decisions and develop strategies that enhance resilience to increasing aridity and extreme heat, particularly in agricultural and structural pest management contexts.

All Federally Recognized Tribes and Pueblos located within the region covered by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s (NOAA) Southwest Regional Integrated Sciences and Assessments (RISA) team (Arizona and New Mexico) are eligible to apply. Up to four Tribal sub-awardees will be selected through this process. Funding for all sub-award projects is contingent upon the continued availability of NOAA support.

More information can be found at the Inter Tribal Council of Arizona, Inc., Community Small Grants Program page.
