Climate and Water Connections in the Middle Rio Grande

Climate and Water Connections in the Middle Rio Grande

The primary goal of this project is to better understand relationships between climate and streamflow in the Middle Rio Grande (MRG) at watershed scales that are meaningful to people in the region. By building relationships with those who have a direct interest in MRG surface water—including leaders from the acequia community and irrigation districts—the project team seeks to collaboratively develop useful information to support decisions at multiple scales. Early in the project the team did a preliminary analysis of changes in streamflow of the Rio Pueblo de Taos to share with communities in the region.
