Tristan O'Mara

Postdoctoral Research Associate

Tristan O’Mara is currently a postdoctoral researcher for the University of Arizona’s Climate Assessment for the Southwest (CLIMAS) interdisciplinary working group. Tristan received her Ph.D. in Forestry from Northern Arizona University, specializing in wildfire management decision support tools (DSTs). She is a cross-trained interdisciplinary researcher, concentrating in both qualitative wildfire social science as well as quantitative fire modeling and remote sensing methodologies. Tristan uses her skill sets to bridge gaps between researchers and practitioners to address systemic issues regarding information and DST usage and development in wildfire management.
