Shreesha Mishra

Shreesha is an MS student in Range Science at New Mexico State University. Her research assesses long-term rangeland degradation and land-cover change across New Mexico by separating climate-driven vegetation variability from human-induced land degradation using satellite Earth observations and climate data. Her work aims to improve understanding of how dryland ecosystems respond to environmental change and to support sustainable land management. Before attending New Mexico State University, Shreesha spent five years as a Forester with the Government of Nepal, where she worked in forest management supporting reforestation and sustainable use of forest resources. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Forestry from Agriculture and Forestry University in Nepal.
