Erika Austhof

Assistant Research Professor, College of Public Health, Epidemiology and Biostatistics

Erika joined the Mel and Enid Zuckerman College of Public Health in 2012. She received her PhD in Epidemiology from the University of Arizona in 2023. Prior to joining the faculty, Dr. Austhof was an Epidemiologist with the college coordinating public health research projects in food-borne diseases and climate change and health. Her research focus is on understanding how extreme weather and climate change influence food-borne, water-borne, and enteric diseases transmission dynamics. With CLIMAS she supports public health stakeholders in developing mitigation and adaptation activities to address the health effects of climate change.
