This month's newsletter, as well as some of the background historical information pages, focus on a topic that is timely during autumn in the Southwest: Floods. We explore floods in the distant past and more recent past, as well as current precipitation conditions and the chances of increased flooding in the coming months due to moderate El Nino that continues to develop.

Published by the Climate Assessment for the Southwest (CLIMAS), with support from University of Arizona Cooperative Extension, the Arizona State Climate Office, and the New Mexico State Climate office.
