CLIMAS Projects - Places
The CLIMAS program focuses on climate-related issues relevant to decision makers in the southwestern United States, specifically within Arizona and New Mexico. The geographic scope of some of the projects, however, transcends the borders of the Southwest. Because of the diversity of the social and environmental issues of the Southwest, such as drought, urban heat island, and extreme climate variability, many of the results and lessons learned from CLIMAS projects can be applied to other regions.
