CLIMAS Projects

Since 1998, CLIMAS has advanced interdisciplinary research that engages both university scientists and decision makers in the Southwest to improve the access to and use of climate information. The CLIMAS program taps a wealth of expertise from the physical, environmental, and social sciences to assess the climate needs of the region, conduct fundamental research to satisfy those needs, develop decision support tools, and evaluate the effectiveness of different forms of climate information. The success of the program is displayed in the diversity of its projects and partners. Although CLIMAS focuses on the Southwest, many of the projects transcend the borders of the region.
