Rolston St. Hilaire

Rolston St. Hilaire is a Professor in the Department of Plant and Environmental Sciences at New Mexico State University. Dr. St. Hilaire earned his PhD in horticulture with an emphasis on environmental stress physiology at Iowa State University. He joined New Mexico State University in 1998. Dr. St. Hilaire has been a visiting scientist at the USDA-ARS Special Perennial Crops laboratory in Beltsville, Maryland.
He teaches courses in ornamental and landscape horticulture as well as plant physiology. His research focuses on the environmental stress physiology of plants and the efficient use of water in urban landscapes. In 2008, he received the Distinguished Research Award from the College of Agriculture at New Mexico State University. He has served as a consultant to the Water Users Association of Uzbekistan. He currently serves as the environmental stress physiology consulting editor for the journal of the American Society for Horticultural Science.
